Keeping up the tradition of weekend blogging, because hey, why fix it when it ain't broken?
So, last night me, the frenchie, my blogging amigo and his date decided to go on a spontaneous, alcohol-fueled party streak. After some pizza, we started out in a surprisingly well-packed apartment (and when I say well-packed, I mean cramped) returned to our apartments to pick stuff up, and then went to the town.
First we went to Club M, only to realise that we were just about the only people there, and then headed on to Purty Kitchen, where we met up with a lot of other french people. That place is always too full for my taste, but we had decent fun until it closed. Then, the real fun began; on the way home it started "snowing". I use qoutation marks, because it wasn't really snow - it was more like hail, but pretty decent amounts of it, so it behaved and looked like snow. A small cab ride later me and three frenchies wound up back at the campus only to find that we weren't the only ones having discovered the "snow" - people were already out and looking at it. I met Jack and my two norwegian flatmates there, and one thing led to another and before we knew it, there was a huge snowball war outside the halls of residence at 4:30 in the morning. Great fun.
Today, we just might hit the town again. Not sure yet. If it can top the snow war anarchy of last night, I'll be in wonderland.

Monday Morning
Good morning vietnam! Monday Morning, and I'm up, jumpy, and ready to tackle the world with a smile!....or not.
Nah, just the regular monday morning mayhem going on. Bit tired, only one awake, and a sandwich in my hand. The first class of today, Ways of Seeing, was canceled, giving me another hour or so of sleep this morning. Ofcourse, that also meant sitting up two hours longer than usual watching American Psycho with the frenchie, so no sleep actually gained. American Psycho is a great movie, by the way. Christian Bale does the role amazingly, and he sure looks psycho all through it.
Great one indeed.

Weekend Bloggin
I only blog on weekends, I've noticed. For some weird reason, I only remember I have this thing on weekends. Oh well.
This weekend is the first quiet weekend in quite some time. No alcohol, no going out, just sitting in and relaxing. It's nice, but you kind of start climbing the walls after a while. Today I ended up making hamburgers and then surfing the web for most of the day (how come I'm not fat? I've been asking myself the same question for years), then My fellow blogger came over and now we're sitting and blogging next to eachother. The norwegians are mysteriously hiding in their room and my frenchie seems to have deserted us.
Hup hup. Oh well, back to doing nothing. Till next time!

Sundays
Wooooh, sundays!...Nah, not really. Trying to get back to the land of the living after last night, and relaxing. Also, my roomie came back from France, after nine days I think, and he brought me fresh french bread. Good guy.
Last night we were at a pre-party with lots of Norwegians, and then went to some place on South William st. It was way too packed tho, so we went back to our favourite midnight-snack-place and then back. Still good fun though.
Something that did send me and my blogging amigo into some laughing fits was the eminent BBC show Walk On The Wild Side. Animal videos with added sound. Hilarious. Here, I'll give an example (the preview for episode three):
Straight up brilliant. Well, I got to get going really. Some stuff to do. Til next time!

Slow thursday
Well this was a slow day. Woke up a bit late only to realise absolutely nothing happens today, so I've basically been watching south park and youtube clips all day. Most exciting thing was cooking, and I didn't even set anything on fire. Utterly bored.
Luckily, youtube saves the day once again. I may not be a fan of the Eurovision song contest, at all, but this was just... wow.
I present to you: Epic Sax Guy!

Wups, completely forgot to update this thing. Sorry bout that.
Moosehead sucked. Bad beer indeed. Otherwise, that was a pretty good night.
Now we're at assignment week, supposed to give us time to write our assignments for the semester. Since I'm lazy, this means I can sit around doing nothing for a week (yaay!).. It's great, great indeed.
Last night, we were at D|Two, they had some kind of "wear your country colours"-event that, as usual, no-one really cared about. I was probably the only one having the swedish flag on me and a majority of people had nothing at all, I think. But it was still great fun, and me and one of the norwegian guys had quite an interesting walk home (it somehow turned out to be an adventure). Oh well.

Bored
Weeeell, I'm bored out of my mind.My fellow blogger is back home, my frenchie is in France, so me and the norwegians have nothing to do. Yesterday this translated into Jackass 3D in downtown Dublin, and today it means beer pong and Temple Bar. Can't complain, really. I'll be trying out a new kind of beer - Moosehead, it's called. Thought I'd give the old motherland a cheer and drink something (slightly) related to elks. I'll be sure to give it an assessment tomorrow.
Until then.
Until then.

Movietime
Phew, just spent a couple of hours cleaning the apartment - it's amazing how much crap four guys can amount in just a couple of days. You do end up finding quite some stuff you thought you'd lost though, and even more stuff you never knew you had. Heh.
Regardless, we'll celebrate this by heading down to the cinemas. Me, the frenchie, both the norwegians and a fellow blogger are gonna go see The Social Network, AKA the Facebook movie. It's supposed to be better than it sounds, so we'll give it a shot. Here's the trailer, in case anyone wants to see it.

Running 'round Dublin
These past two or three days have been... hectic, to say the least :) Lots and lots of things to do (which is one of the reasons this blog has been kind of empty, to say the least) and just not enough time. Thank god I'm too calm to get stressed out, I would've gone mental.
And it's Halloween week! Everyone's favorite commercialism event makes a great reason to party, and all the student places are sure to pick it up. Last night was the official Griffith College Halloween Ball, and one word would be enough: Awesome. The designated club was brilliant, and some of the costumes were awesome. Me likey.
One of these days, I should really make sure to fix this blog up a bit, give it some spice. But then again, I should do a lot of things..

First post
Dublin is a funny city.
No, really.
I've been here for a month now, and I have to say; I've never seen anything like it. I'm from a small town in Sweden, and nothing is the same. Absolutely nothing. So, since we had to blog about something in class, I've decided to start blogging about whatever minor (or major) speedbumps I might, and will, stumble over.
Knowing me, we might have a lot of posts. It's not all Dublin's fault for putting me in these situations, some may or may not be self-inflicted. After all, I'm lazy, kind of mean, and I have no sense of direction what so ever. That last one has already put me in trouble quite a few times already. Whoever planned this city deserves some kind of public flogging. I've been lost quite a few times, and putting bars and pubs everywhere isn't helping. It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but there are just not enough places with cheap booze to justify all these side alleys. But hey, I'm rambling. I'll stop. For now.
Anywhoo then, I'll try to update this blog somewhat regularly. I've never had a blog before, and I can't really say that I've ever been arsed to read one more than a couple of times a month. Oh well, hopefully I'll manage to keep things interesting.
